Mission Possible For The Christian Wife

For The Christian Wife

Sometimes our own family is our mission field... Your spouse's salvation is something that God considers a priority. An unequally yoked marriage is difficult, but not impossible. Begin at home by reaching your mate for Christ. Our words, actions, attitudes and love will lay the foundation for God to work in your marriage. Your unsaved spouse is your "mission". That relationship is foremost on God's heart . By faith, begin now...you have nothing to lose, and everything to gain.

Mission Possible is a "must have" book for any woman who is married to a man who does not share her passion for Jesus... This short book is an "easy read", but has much to say. You will refer back to it over and over again...We now offer a unique Christian book that challenges the reader to "live out your faith" day by day. This "life changing" book is one you will not want to put down... This Mission Possible is one in which you, the reader, will walk through the process of one women's quest to reach her husband for Christ.

The Mercies Of God

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Being A Christ Follower

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Should Christian's Participate In Halloween

That time will soon be here and millions upon millions of children will celebrate Halloween. So what is this holiday and celebration all about? Is it simply fun, costumes, candy and children going from door to door? Or is there something else behind the holiday and celebration of Halloween? What is the History of Halloween?

As kids growing up, both I and my sister celebrated Halloween. Dressing up, the costumes, the trick or treat lanterns and yes, the candy was all a part of the celebration. It was fun and as with all children, we eagerly awaited that day.

Many years passed and when I became a Christian I did extensive studies online about Halloween and was quite shocked at what I found and read. I'm not going to go into details, other than to provide our readers with some links that will lead you to some informative sites about the history of Halloween like The Bible & Halloween. As Christian's and Christian parents, we must individually decide whether we should allow our children to participate in Halloween. Should Christians Celebrate Halloween

The Stock Market Hits Big Numbers

Have you seen it? The rally and comeback as today's stock market hit 10,000 plus. Hey great. So do you have more money in your savings, did you get a raise at your job, did your utility bills go down, did your medical costs go down, did your health insurance go down, auto insurance, etc. Did this rally and comeback place any more money in your pocket or get your bills closer to being paid off?

How about our senior citizens. Did this rally and come back help them? What about all the people that lost their homes and life savings. Did it help them? I wonder who will get the credit for this great comeback and rally?

Fuel for thought.

Dealing With Fear

Just imagine all the areas of life and life situations that this scripture can be applied to. "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind". That's pretty powerful and as it is written, "the truth shall set you free". You see, as a born again believer, you have been given a spirit of power, of love and of a sound mind.

Yes there is natural fear or the fear encountered when danger arises. However sometimes fear can overtake a person, rule their life and bring forth bondage's. Fear can sometimes place a person in their own private prison. That's not God's Will in the live of His children.

If you deal with uncontrollable fear, may the Spirit of Truth set you free, that you may live a life free in Christ and become all that God is calling you to be. I rebuke the spirit of fear that is taunting you and proclaim liberty over your life in the name of Jesus.

Of The Times & Seasons

But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

Overcoming Pure Disapointment

Life comes with disappointments. Relationships come with disappointments. Sometimes disappointments can be so overwhelming that we find ourselves slipping into deep sadness and depression to the point that our life becomes dysfunctional. That's not good.

One of the ways to overcome disappointment is simply by taking a deep breath. Sometimes we have to let go of things and move on and yes, sometimes that can be difficult. However, if we lay our disappointments down at the feet of Jesus, Jesus can help us to press forward and overcome. Allow the Lord to direct your paths, and allow the word of God to be a lamp unto your feet. Your future will be brighter

It's better to overcome disappointment than to wallow in it.

America's Struggling Church's

As the American economy has encountered problems, so are churches. We all understand that churches depend on tithes, donations and love gifts to function. However, as the congregation deals with difficult times, unemployment, home foreclosures and all the other matters that have come forth, tithes and donations are affected dramatically. Many churches are struggling and being forced to make cutbacks in order to keep the doors open. As this happens much needed programs, outreaches and missions are affected.

Please take a moment and pray for America's churches.

Recycling Product Boxes & Saving Money

We occasionally do a lot of shipping in our family and boxes can be expensive. The other day while at the post office, the postal man taking our packages says "this is the greatest recycled shipping box I have ever seen". The box was a cereal box. Just imagine all the boxes that you throw away weekly and monthly. They make great shipping boxes and in the process, your recycling. Now just imagine someone receiving a product box like for example one of those special candies boxes and inside is their favorite book. If you want to get creative, use a corn dog box or a fruit role up box. Someone will laugh on the other end. Just make sure the box is clean inside and out.

Pressing Through, Overcoming & Being Blessed

Do you believe in healing and gifts of healing? I do and I could share many testimonies of God's healing power. He is the Lord that healeth thee and Jesus is capable of bringing emotional, mental and physical healing to your body.

And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me. And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately. And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.

Press though and touch the healer Jesus is times of prayer and worship. For He is the Lord that healeth thee.

Weekends, Family & Having Fun

Since my wife was released from the hospital back in December of 2008, life has changed. She's in recovery from a virus that attacked her heart muscle and almost took her life. The end result was being diagnosed with heart failure as the damage to her heart left her heart only pumping at 20%. Since then the numbers have improved and by June of 2009 her heart was pumping at 33%. We will know more after her next doctors visit when further tests will be performed.

As the months have passed, as a family we have gone through many changes. The 1st three months after her illness were very difficult. By June of this year things had improved somewhat and she seems to be getting better and better all the time. Still with that said, life and the things we do have changed as my wife can tire very easily and have difficulties breathing.

Yet every Saturday night as a family we attend Saturday evening services and go out to eat. Then on Sunday we again attend services and afterwords go out to lunch. We look forward to our weekend, church and going out to eat. We've also learned to be thankful for our weekends.

It's not how much you do, where you go, or how exciting it is. It's the simplicity of spending time together as a family.

The Religious Blogger

Many people call me the religious blogger because I have a network of Christian blogs. Amazingly at my age, I remember the very first blog and forum that I started many years ago. The forum eventually had over 20,000 posts with around 200 faithful members. That was back in 2005. Since then we have started two additional forums. As much fun as the interaction has been on the forums, I prefer blogging and keeping our network of blogs going. It's hard work, however it is also rewarding. The blogging world and blogging communities has grown leaps and bounds over the years. Millions place posts on various subjects daily and there are some really great blogs and premiere blogging networks and communities out there.

If you haven't started a blog yet, you might check it out. It's fun, easy, creative and you'll make some great online friendships with others.

Living Your Live Victoriously

Victory! That sweet smell as they say. Yet what is living a victorious life? I guess that is determined by how you describe life. For me living a victorious life starts with Jesus. That is victory considering we live in a world that is far from Christ, His ways and His plans and purposes. Secondly my family. My wife and my daughter are very dear and important to me. Thirdly sharing the love and redeeming passion of Christ around the world through our network of ministry sites and blogs. I love sharing the wonderful blessings that come through knowing Christ with others.

For me, the above three things are living a victorious life. My love and relationship with God, my family and being a active part of the body of Christ. You see it's the simple things that are part of living a victorious life. The things that matter most.

The Simplicity Of Helping Others

Many years ago I lived in a small community setting of 200 homes. It was a time in my life when I was recovering from an illness. Daily I would for hours and hours walk the streets of that community. Over a short period of time I came to know all the residents. Soon after that I found myself doing little things to help the residents. You see, it was a senior citizen community.

I found myself performing little repairs for the community residents. Taking there trash out, helping them to carry their groceries, washing their cars, moving heavy items that they could not carry, and just the simplest of things. Soon after that I found myself ministering to many of the residents about God. As time passed, people would knock on my door and ask me to pray for their husband, or wife, or father or mother.

Within this I slowly watched God give me a ministry within that small community of senior citizens. Friendships were born and I found myself sitting on porches spending time with the elderly. It was an amazing time in my life.

There is great joy in the simplicity of helping others.

She Has This Thing

My daughter will be turning 5 years old this December. Oh how fast she has grown. It seems like just yesterday she was learning to walk and here we are already. She's such a blessing from God, so full of life, has way too much energy and just a barrel of fun to be around. Truly, I have been blessed beyond measure.

Over these last almost five years I have watched her grow and mature in ways that leave me in awe. She's bright, creative, and loves to explore. Of course we have those occasional moments as do all parents. However that's when I must be a father in all situations. That's when I must apply love in even greater measures. Simply through love to help her understand rights and wrongs and mature with character. Sometimes, in the end she teaches me things, like how to love life from a child like perspective. She has this thing that when I get too serious, she makes me laugh. Too funny!

It is good to learn from our children while teaching them about life.

The Freeway Of Your Life

Life is like a freeway, but with great cost. On that freeway are many on and off ramps. Each off ramp is like a season of lessons to be learned and as soon as we learn those lessons, we soon find another on ramp only to experience another off ramp. As we get older, we can look back on life and see the many seasons, situations and circumstances that we have encountered. Some say if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. While others say, if I could do it all over again, I would live my life differently.

Regardless of one's mistakes, shortcomings, sins, and the seasons of the past. There is freedom and forgiveness found at the foot of the cross. Christ died for the sins of the world and through Christ is the redemption of sins, forgiveness and the promise of eternal life.

When we confess our sins before Him, He is just and faithful to forgive us

Believe Not Every Spirit That Speaks

As Christian's and especially babes in Christ. We must always be careful of what we are chewing on. If it doesn't line up with God's Word, we might just find that we are chewing on meat that is not from God. That's why it's so important to read and study God's Word. Otherwise we might find ourselves receiving another gospel, and following the teachings of men that are not scriptural.

There are blessings in reading, studying and understanding God's Word.

Thwe Darkness From Within

It is written that out of the mouth comes forth the abundance of the heart. So, what does that say about the heart? In such cases when angers are present, uncontrollable angers, bitterness, and words that are the fruit of such. What is in the heart? In the heart filled with peace, grace, mercy, compassion, love and the fruits of the Spirit. Is the heart overflowing with the love of Christ?

Just fuel for thought.

Protecting You're Children's Heart, Mind & Future

Have you ever heard the saying, the eye's are the gateway to the soul. Have you ever seen the affects upon a child when they are exposed to movies that show violence? I'm not talking about after they have become conditioned after watching them for a few years. I'm talking about the very first time they are exposed to the images. Most children at that young age react with fear, deep concern and are deeply affected. Of course if that same child is permitted to view images of violence, after a while, they become numb to it. It merely becomes entertainment.

I've always been amazed at life in the sense of when a life enters this world. That tiny little infant basically has no knowledge of anything. He or she is just here. They depend upon their parents to feed them and care for them. They are born, open their eye's and see for the very 1st time.

What are your children watching and what is filling there heart, mind and soul

The Dangers Of Wrath

We all occasionally encounter anger. Anger is one of the ways we express many different emotions. That is to say that under the anger can be a variety of feelings and emotions. Yet when anger becomes rage and enters into those uncontrollable stages, that anger is dangerous and can bring destruction to all that experience it. Un controllable anger can destroy a home, a family, a marriage and even close friendships. It is like a flood that overtakes people and their lives.

Here are some proverbs on anger: Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools. A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger. A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife. He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated. Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go:

Sharing Good Times Together

I've often wondered what the apostles were like as they were hanging out with Jesus. When we read the acounts in the Bible, they share only a portion of those times with Jesus. Just imagine all the meals they shared, all the conversations, the walking and traveling. I'll bet they shared a lot of good times together. We should all find time to share good times together with others.

Blessings are found in your fellowships with others.

Sweet As Sugar

There are many things that appear to be sweet as sugar, yet are sour to our soul and life. You see, our fleshly desires and that of the carnal mind can and will get the best of us. We must put off the old man and his ways. We must be aware of temptations that wage war against our soul and fight those temptations. We also must be aware of the temptations of satan and those that he attempts to put into our lives.

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

Blessings are found in wisdom.

They Tempted The Spirit Of The Lord

But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things. And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him. And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in. And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much. Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out. Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband. And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.

Imagine those days.

Prayer Ministries And Church

Every church that I have ever attended had a prayer ministry. Prayer is one of the heart beats of church. Prayer is important, and Jesus said "My House shall be called a house of prayer". There are many scriptures in the Bible that speak of prayer from the book of Genesis to the book of Revelations. There are many accounts of Christ praying, the Apostles praying, and also many accounts within the old testament about prayer.

Prayer in many ways is the lifeline of our communication with God. Through prayer we communicate with God, make our requests known to Him, enter into His presence and stand the gap as watchmen for others. It is good to pray for others. In fact, it is a humble privilege to pray for others.

In the book of Acts prayer and the laying on of hands are mentioned in various sections of scripture. In many church's today prayer and the laying on of hands is actively pursued and the ministry of the Holy Spirit flows freely.

Actually God made prayer very simple. It doesn't take some spiritual giant to pray for people. It just takes a willing vessel to step out in faith and allow the Holy Spirit to be the Holy Spirit. It's when fear, lack of faith, a religious spirit, the precepts of men and having a good church service show gets in the way and hinders the Holy Spirit, that prayer ministries become inaffective. That well scripted situations.

It amazes me how we sometimes turn the Kingdom of God into this well micro managed process as if we could add something to it. It amazes me how we sometimes take the simplest of things and make them difficult and within that process diminish the power of such.
I somehow don't think Jesus had that in mind.

Blessings Come Out Of Hardships When We Surrender To God

Life comes with hardships and many times we create the very seasons that we are in. For example today's financial problems. I know many people who are way upside down. Well, we too are encountering difficult times, however I'm not facing a mortgage problem, buried in credit card debt, auto loans or other self inflicted debt. I learned long long ago and the hard way not to buy things on credit and run up credit cards. I learned to live within my means and that means even going without at times. Well, as I said I learned the hard way and the fall was hard also. I learned that my flesh, even my desires and the lust of my eye's for things can get the best of me, so I gave it all to God saying I'm weak, but you are not, help me overcome these problems. Lets just say it took some time that's for sure, but the more and more I surrendered these problems to Jesus, the more I overcame them. The blessing that came forth was freedom from debt. For God is not a God of debt or bondage and God wasn't calling me to drown in such things.

May the God of liberty shine in your life as you give you problems to Him.

Shelter Against The Destructive Storms Of Life

Just imagine if your house was not built on concrete, but rather sand. Things could become very unstable at any given time. A earthquake could occur, or a winter storm. There could be a flood, or even a mudslide. The results could be very bad. Just imagine all the potential possibilities for disaster if your house was built on sand. Now imagine your life being built on sand.

Here are the words of Jesus on the matter. Life changing words that are over 2,000 years old, yet eternal.

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

They key is reading, knowing and understanding the sayings of Jesus.

Blessings, in Christ and His Words.

The Spirit Of The Lord

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

The Fatherless, The Orphans, Those Caught In The Midst

Make That Call, Send That Letter

Is there someone that you've lost contact with? Maybe a old high school friend, maybe a old co worker, maybe a relative or close close family member? We all get busy and the freeway of life just seems to consume our time. Grandparents, uncles, aunts, best friends and people that we've spent time with just seem to fall onto the back burners of our life. Many times we are reminded of those people in thought. We make plans to contact them, but life's freeway once again consumes us. Maybe the Holy Spirit is putting someone on your heart right now. Take time and make that call. You just might put a smile on some one's face.

Blessings, in Christ.

We All, Can Make A Difference

Remember, we all can make a difference. In our homes, in our communities, with our families, on the job and at every corner. Each one of us has something to add to our world to make it a better place. Take time and make time to make a difference, a positive difference in the lives of others. Be a blessing to others and encourage them with your love and friendship.

The Winds Of God's Favor

I love the favor of God. Whenever God's favor touches a situation, things change. Just imagine the very favor of God touching your life and life sitautions. Your family, your marriage, your children, your home, your finances. What about your health, that employer, and every other matter before you. Yes, God's favor can change things. You see, God is full of love, compassion, mercy and wisdom. God's favor comes like waves of a heavenly wind blowing and when that wind blows heaven comes to earth.

Seek and we find, knock and the doors are opened and prayer changes things.

The Mighty Acts Of The Apostles

Where are the true miracles of God?

Lord, raise up TRUE APOSTLES ...

Blessings, in Christ

It's Not That Easy To Believe

Sometimes it's not easy to believe. Many have tried and fallen short. I mean think of it, Christianity, salvation, redemption, eternal life. It's all based on the belief that Jesus died and was raised from the dead. Now, that takes faith.

There are many things in the bible, the scriptures, that are hard to believe. A axe head floating on water, healing's, miracles, blind eye's seeing, and so on.

Yet there is something within just about every human being that does believe that there is a God. It's in the DNA.

Blessings, in Christ, the Son of God
